Background

History

Jamcracker was founded in 1999 by KB Chandrasekhar (Exodus founder) with the vision of aggregating the delivery, administration, and support of third party hosted services. Over the past decade the company has developed a services delivery network that includes dozens of cloud service providers and hundreds of carriers, MSPs, and Resellers.

Creating a Cloud Services Ecosystem

Jamcracker aggregates and distributes on-demand services through a global ecosystem of Service Providers, Resellers, System Integrators, and ISVs, called the Jamcracker Services Delivery Network (JSDN).  Services available through the JSDN include messaging, collaboration, security, online data backup, wireless, and business productivity solutions from Microsoft, Cisco, McAfee, Blackberry, IBM, Google, and dozens of other cloud providers.

Enabling, Delivering and Managing the Cloud

The JSDN is a completely outsourced cloud delivery platform that provides unified services and user management, with key features including:

  • Unified provisioning, administration, billing, settlement, support, security, and directory services.
  • Service integration adapters which connect the JSDN to public cloud services, offered by ISVs with whom Jamcracker has established Master Distribution Agreements, as well as private clouds operated within carriers' and enterprises' own data centers.
  • Many of our delivery partners and customers act as a supplier and a distributor of services. For example, carriers can publish their own core services to the JSDN, enabling them to create best-of-breed service bundles that incorporate internal and externally-hosted solutions.

Carriers, MSPs, and other resellers leverage the JSDN to increase revenues and reduce customer churn by quickly, easily, and profitably sourcing, bundling, and delivering a broad array of co-branded IT services, business application services, and branded customer support services.  Traditional ISVs are offering new managed services through their existing channel partners.  And enterprises can now unify the management of their public and private cloud services, ensuring that their security and corporate governance policies are extended to services inside and outside their firewalls.  The JSDN enables our customers to increease profitability from their existing networks, channels and customer bases; increase innovation and productivity for their employees; and drive competitive differentiation by bundling new value-added services with their core offerings.

Public cloud services vendors leverage the JSDN as a scalable and proven distribution platform that aggregates, cross-bundles, and fulfills demand for their product offerings through a proven services-delivery network, including some of the largest Communications and IT Service Providers around the world, gaining access to millions of SME business users.  ISVs also utilize the JSDN for their own services channel enablement.
